The Invaders, alien beings from a dying planet. Their
destination: the Earth. Their purpose: to make it their world.
David Vincent has seen them. For him, it began one lost night on
a lonely country road, looking for a shortcut that he never
found. It began with a closed deserted diner, and a man too long
without sleep to continue his journey. It began with the landing
of a craft from another galaxy. Now David Vincent knows that the
Invaders are here, that they have taken human form. Somehow he
must convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has
already begun.

Right
stop taking the piss and get on with the walk.
The walk.
Distance : 4.5 Miles.
Height: 1100 ft.
Start and finish: Barley car park.
Time allocated : 3-4 hours
Classification : medium.
Best place to eat : Noggarths Cottage or Barley Car park cafe.
Places of Interest: Witches Galore, Newchurch graveyard,
Roughlee hall, Mong's arse, Lower Well Head (thought to be the
site of Malkin Tower).
Best watering hole: Was 'The Lamb' sadly gone. The Pendle witch,
Barley.
The walks starts at Barley car park well known for it's
extremely clean
toilets, that are frequented by people with arseholes half way
up their back.
Take the path past the toilets heading towards the Pendle Witch
Inn. If you are turtle heading or dying for a gypsy's kiss nip
in the pub. At the Inn turn Right or left if you've used their
toilets up the main road(Barley lane)through the village of
Barley. After the tea rooms, on the opposite side of the road is
a path following a stream at the back of a row of cottages. This path is well marked
from here with the Pendle Way sign below.

This
path virtually takes you to Pendle Ho, which is a farm
at the foot of Pendle Hill. The Path up the hill is very
steep and well defined. Once on the top, watch out for
UFO's and Pagan loonies. It's been said that the hill
has had a spiritual uplift on many people, one of these
was the Quaker George Fox, who was "moved of the lord to go to the top of
it". I myself prefer the spirits in the Pendle
Witch Inn especially "the Pendle witch brew". I have
heard this public house is haunted by a ghost - who's
name was in life Kenneth Williams, but don't be
frightened. He tried to put the willies up someone once
and didn't like it, so never tried again( just joking).
Many other people are "moved to taak dog or dogs up fill for shit"
so watch out for the odd dogs egg or two. Here's a
little interesting fact, the valley that runs between
the village of Roughlee and Spence, aptly named 'Happy
valley' is a good place to find magic mushrooms thus
providing two trips in one day.
